Below is information on how to participate in this year’s inaugural Art on the Avenue event, August 2-3, 2013.
CALL TO ARTISTS
Name of Venue or Event: Art on the Ave. – a community gallery hosted by the businesses along Smith Avenue on St. Paul’s West Side.
Work Media: Media is open but will be depend on business partner and space available.
Entry Requirements: There is no fee to show but you will have to be able to install your work yourself. If you need assistance, we will work to partner you with someone who can assist you.
Please submit the following via email to christine (at) wsco (dot) org
1. Cover letter describing your work or idea for project
2. Sample images from your portfolio representative of the type of work you intend to show. Digital images should be emailed to: christine (at) wsco (dot) org
3. Resume including biography
Timeline: August 2-3, 2013 (possibility to extend throughout August, per agreement with business)
Installation will take place: TBD
Entries Due: June 17th
Selection Process: Selection is first come, first serve. We will match you with an appropriate business owner to work with.
Notification to artist: July 1
Reception: Evening of August 2 (time/location TBD)
Exhibit or Event Ends: August 2 – could be extended through August
Pickup Artwork by: TBD
Sales: No commission! You will be on your own to communicate with buyers and facilitate payment.
